THE fate of an historic Louth chimney has been put off.
The planning committee at East Lindsey District Council were due to decide on the application to demolish old warehouse premises in Cinder Lane but members granted a three month extension to ensure all plans are in place.
Rodanto Ltd want conservation area consent to demolish a warehouse, buildings and chimney on the site.
It was used as a jam factory for many years.
Some say the chimney is an important element of Louth’s industrial heritage.
The developers say the building is dilapidated.
