Argentina’s finest and most significant tango vocalist, Martín Alvarado, will be performing at the Trinity Centre in Louth this weekend.
The Buenos Aires-based troubadour will be singing at the Trinity Centre in Eastgate on Saturday (November 15) at 8pm to begin his 16-day tour of the UK.
Alvarado, a tenor, whose vocal talent was discovered as he sang in the streets of Barcelona in 2002, will perform solo in true tango troubadour style, accompanying himself on acoustic guitar.
The performance is part of his 29th international tour which also sees him performing concerts at a series of philharmonic halls in Siberia in Russia for the first time, as well as a return to the prestigious Music Hall in St Petersburg.
Tickets for the concert cost £10 in advance (or £12 on the door) and are available online at www.musicglue.com/ltangopromotions and at the Trinity Centre, in addition to ‘Off the Beaten Tracks’ music shop in Aswell Street.
Children and students are half price and there are also six tickets available, in advance only, free of charge (or for a voluntary donation) for people who receive means-tested benefits.
