Can you give some of your time to help make a difference to a neighbour’s life?
If you have a couple of hours to spare on a regular basis you could help a local person by becoming a volunteer befriender, either in person or over the phone.
On Monday, December 9, befriending organisations working in the local area are coming together to hold a Befriending Information Fair were you can find out how you can be a friend for a person in need of one.
Practical help may be available but often what someone wants most is a friendly face or a listening ear – someone who will take an interest in them as a person, to help them feel valued.
Having someone to spend just a small amount of quality time with on a regular basis can therefore make an enormous difference to a person’s quality of life.
If you would like to find out more about volunteer befriending and how you can get involved, pop in any time between 3pm and 7pm to the Trinity Centre on Eastfield Road, Louth on Monday December 9.
