WI members from across the Louth area showed off their talents at the Louth Group Craft and Produce Show held in Ludford Village Hall.

This biennial show always attracts a lot of entries and this year was no exception.

Presenting the trophies at the end of the afternoon was Federation Vice-Chairman Jackie Newborough, who praised the ladies for their ‘wonderful display’.

South Elkington WI retained the Produce Cup with another fine display of home-grown fruit and vegetables. They also came joint second in the cut flowers section and third in the craft and preserves sections.

The floral art talents of members from Legbourne and Little Cawthorpe resulted in them being awarded the Floral Art Trophy once again. They were also joint runner-up in the craft section.

But it was the members from Hainton and District WI who were the champions of the day winning four of the six trophies - cut flowers, cookery, preserves and craft.

Keddington and Louth Park WI took second place in the floral art, cut flowers and craft section, while Ludford WI managed second place in both the cookery and preserves.

Authorpe WI came third in the cut flowers, produce and cookery sections.
