Wolds Words 2011 has been launched

TICKETS are now on sale for the 11th annual celebration of reading, writing and performance presented by East Lindsey District Council.

A range of fringe, schools and library events, including an online literary quiz, is running from October 1 – Lincolnshire Day.

Penguin Cafe, successors to the legendary Penguin Cafe Orchestra, are the first headline act at the festival, tuning up at the Riverhead Theatre in Louth on Wednesday October 19 at 7.30pm.

The group is led by Arthur Jeffes, son of Penguin Cafe Orchestra founder Simon Jeffes, and plays a blend of Cafe classics and new compositions.

District Council Leader, Doreen Stephenson said: “Once again Wolds Words will offer a fascinating blend of events inspired by reading, writing and performance”.
