Woman, 20, attacked while walking her dog in Louth

Police are appealing for information after a 20-year-old woman was attacked whilst walking her dog in Louth.

The woman was crouching to get something out of her bag when she was kicked or punched in the face. She then saw two figures running away. It is thought these were two young males, possibly in their mid-teens.

The woman was walking down the alleyway between Mill Lane and Sandringham Drive which runs alongside the school playing field, and she suffered bruising and swelling to her face as a result of the attack.

The incident was called in to Police at just after midnight on August 8, and is believed to have happened approximately 20 minutes before the call at 11:45pm on Friday evening (August 7).

Police are urging anyone who may have seen the offenders in the area at the time of the attack to get in touch.
