WRVS donate £180,000 to United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust

PATIENTS across Lincolnshire’s hospitals, including Louth, will see the benefits of a considerable donation by the WRVS.

The donation of £180,000 has been made by the organisation from funds raised by running shops and cafes at hospitals within United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust on a voluntary basis.

The donation will allow the trust to provide a wide range of equipment throughout its hospitals including reclining chairs, X-ray equipment, television screens in outpatient areas and electronic boards which will help manage patient flow through the hospitals and speed up the discharge of patients.

Among other things, the money will also help the hospital to make improvements to patient information points where leaflets are displayed for patients, to re-fit a bathroom and to provide bedside televisions on an inpatient ward at Lincoln County Hospital.
