Letter: More firms needed for 1,000 houses

Kae Burnell-Chambers on Sir Peter Tapsell’s 1,000 house warning for town...

I can see both sides. Homes needed...whether they are new built or the council can make unused houses usable.

But then there is the employment issue. I think if new homes are to be built there has to be a per cent for those potential residents to have a work prospect. Nothing worse having a large housing per cent and hardly any business to aid the town economy. In my opinion if Louth is to house 1,000 plus more then more retail businesses need to move in on the industrial estate to accommodate.
