EDITOR – What a travesty that once again Mablethorpe misses out on a golden opportunity of a development that could provide houses, jobs, another much-needed supermarket and the provision of a safer entrance to the primary school.
I thought the council were supposed to act on the wishes of the majority, not the very vocal minority.
What possible reason could the council have this time to not only go against the recommendation of the planning officer but also to scotch the hopes of most of the Mablethorpe residents?
I suspect that there were plenty of objectors at the meeting as I received through my letterbox a few days before a note offering a lift to the meeting at Tedder Hall, but only if I was against the proposal.
I sincerely hope that LB Developments appeal most vigorously against this spurious decision.
