Pleased plan was rejected

EDITOR – As a resident of Watts Lane I am pleased the proposed development has been rejected.

What a waste of everyone’s time and money even giving the application time in the planning schedule.

As local people will have noticed, the ‘waste ground’ is full of children the majority of the time with skate boards and bikes etc. Does this not give a strong suggestion as to what the site could be used for?

If developed into a skate park or similar the children would be able to continue with this obvious favoured sport – but in a safer manner.

As for the proposed developers ‘widening Watts Lane to accommodate increased traffic’. Well excuse me, this is an unadopted road which belongs to its residents, NOT the council, as we are often reminded, thank you very much!
