EDITOR – I am sending you a picture of yet another bird injured by other possible attacks.

This Canada goose could hardly get out of the water to feed! And as you can see by the picture it had difficulty sitting down.

I am ashamed to belong to a society that allows this extreme cruelty to defenceless birds and animals.

This is not the first time birds on the lake have suffered horrendous attacks!

Some years ago a pair of swans had five young on the lake. A few weeks later four of the signets were found hung in the bushes with their throats cut!

Days later the fifth suffered the same fate. We know this to be true because we spoke to two people who saw the mutilated signets!
