Wise spending?

EDITOR – Louth town councillors have decided to spend more than £200,000 on purchasing the old magistrates court to be used as a new council chamber. This has all been done behind closed doors without any public consultation.

In times of extreme austerity, cutbacks to many services and many job losses I believe the rate payers of Louth will find this a totally unacceptable use of public funds.

Our councillors, it seems, are out of control and acting to the benefit of no-one but themselves.
