JOHN Royston Bowen died on April 20 at Pilgrim Hospital in Boston aged 68.
He was beloved father of Vincent Bowen, Donna Wood and Robert Bowen, and grandfather to seven grandchildren.
John was born in Seaham, County Durham, but lived in Mablethorpe for the last 46 years.
He worked as the leading hand ambulance man at the Mablethorpe Station, but retired early due to health reasons.
He also worked for the RAF for five years – being posted at Tobruk, Libya, then Strubby.
He was a member of the social club and Buffaloes.
His funeral was held on April 1 at Alford Crematorium, officiated by The Rev Alison Harvey.
