AFTER their first two matches had cemented together a couple of wins, Sibjon Builders were hoping to build on that and make it a hat trick of victories when they played visitors to Seymour and Castle.
The plug was pulled on that as the winless hosts turned on the power to shock their opponents, beating them 6-2.
Simon Godfrey and Simon Davison made it a bright start for the hosts who after that looked to be heading for overload as the score went to six without loss.
The away outfit did take the last two frames to put some respectability on the scoreline.
Castaline netted their first win and in doing so sent Manny Bernstein to their first defeat. Stewart Tett gave the hosts a great start in this clash between two sides expected to be chasing the title and that early lead proved sufficient as the rest all drew giving the home team a narrow but vital 5-3 success.
Going joint top with the losing Bookies are Tudor Driving School, who were held to a 4-4 draw by M A Stephenson Autos.
Malc Dixon gave the visitors sight of a first win but they were to be denied by Mark Storey, who put the emergency stop on a second successive defeat for the hosts.
