HISTORY was made at Cadwell Park on Sunday as Formula Jedi racer Nigel Reuben set the fastest ever race lap around the 2.1 mile circuit.
Reigning Jedi champion Reuben flew around Cadwell in the fifth round of the series, setting a best lap of 1 minute 22.225 seconds, an average speed of 95.139mph.
The previous record had been held by Shaun Balfe, who set the benchmark at 1m22.5s in 2005 at the wheel of a Radical SR8 sports racer.
Reuben went on to take his third win of the season.
He said: "It was a beautiful lap and being in the history books of a track like Cadwell Park is something very special."
