NORTH Thoresby motorcycle racer Mark Ess stormed home to two race wins at Darley Moor racing circuit near Derby.
Mark set the fastest time in qualifying and proceeded to make his way to the front of the field for convincing victories in both races. This follows on from his success in March at the Derbyshire circuit, where enduring snowy conditions he again took top honours in both races.

He now has a healthy lead in the championship.

Mark said: “It’s encouraging to be straight back at the top and competing for the title. Last year was painful both physically and financially, with a blown engine in the first round at Croft and a big crash in round two at Mallory Park, which eventually ruled me out of the season.

“I am grateful to Hi-Lite Signs and Louth Electrics for their continuing sponsorship. I will be trying just as hard for the rest of the season.”
