Frank and James win for Sandilands

MEMBERS from both the Gents and Ladies sections at Sandilands Golf Club played in the Daily Mail Foursomes Competitions.
Frank Evans and James Doughty played against players from Woodthorpe Hall GC and won the match 6 and 5.
Freda Smith and Kath James won their match 7 and 5 against Jayne Crooks and Sue Fletcher from Woodhall Spa GC.
Fifteen members played in a Medal Competition. All three top placed players scored 75 and the final positions were decided on countback.
Dave Smith was first, Pete Christian came second and Paul Westin third.
Thirty three Seniors played in a Medal Competition. Division A was won by Peter Yorston with 70, Geoff Ashford came second with 71 and Barry Hotson third with 73.
Brian Isam won Division B with 70, Joe Kelly came second with 76 and Bill Wilson also carded 76 but was pushed into third place on back nine countback.
The Ladies played their Monthly Medal Qualifying Competition.
Freda Smith was first and Pat Dawson second. Freda was the Silver Qualifier and Pat the Bronze Qualifier.
