Grainthorpe United celebrate success at glitzy presentation

GRAINTHORPE UNITED were the centre of attention at a presentation evening to celebrate their season's success on Saturday.

The team, who have had their most successful season so far, got suited and booted with loyal fans at The White Horse pub in Marshchapel, for the formal presentation of their trophies.

Grainthorpe Utd made team history this season with their treble victory after winning the Junior Challenge Cup against Theddlethorpe, the Mow Dales Trophy against Louth Utd Reserves and the title of East Lincs Division One winners with a smashing 10-0 win against Sutton Rovers.

And as well as their team success, players were individually praised for their commitment to the team.

Team mates voted Martin Simons as Sunday Players Player. Manager, Simon Lovatt agreed and also awarded Martin with Sunday Managers Player and Saturday's Managers Player praising his performance on and off the pitch.

With a cracking 18 goals under his belt, Pete Herriman won leading goal scorer for Grainthorpe's Sunday team whilst Goalie, Luke Turner was voted Players Player for the Saturday team.

Scoring an impressive 42 goals for Grainthorpe's Saturday team, Robin Beecroft was given leading goal scorer and performance of the season was given to Stewart West.

The team presented Manager, Simon Lovatt with a signed and framed Liverpool United shirt for his dedication to managing the team.
