A LOUTH girl and her horse stormed to victory at the British Riding Clubs National Eventing Championships.
Lauren West, 18, and her horse Royal Highness represented the North Lincs Riding Club for the second year running.

And after finishing runner up last year, the pair were determined to come out top in 2008. The weekend of equestrian events saw Lauren and Royal competing in dressage, roads and tracks, steeplechase and cross country.

By Sunday, the pair were in first place and sealed the deal by jumping a foot perfect clear round in the show jumping competition. Proud mum , who was so nervous she could not watch said: “Lauren has worked so hard for this, she really deserved it.”

Lauren would love to continue riding to success, but it is financially demanding and in order to do so, sponsorship is vital.
