AFTER their second match in the Pat Scott memorial trophy summer snooker league the reigning champions Castaline are still waiting to catch their first victory.
Even more surprising is that they have already been beaten, with them losing 5-3 in their visit to Sibjon Builders.

In what was virtually a clash of the 'Mountains' it was the hosts who climb the highest with John and Peter Mountain giving their side a vital victory. This after Sam Mountain had given the away outfit a short-lived lead.

Taking over at the top are Manny Bernstein, who beat last week's leaders Tudor Driving School 5-3.

Mark Bullivant hit a 31 break to put the hosts in front, but the scores were level when Jack Westerby replied for the visitors.

Alan Coppin fired in breaks of 30 and 28 to retake the lead for his team, and that's how it stayed.

Sharing the spoils were Don Noble Bookmaker and Seymour and Castle, who drew 4-4. Mark Pickard shortened the odds on the Bookies winning, but they were in for a shock when they were caught on the line by Sean Fieldsend, as these two sides continue their search for a first win of the new season.
