LOUTH United FC reached another important target in its re-development programme with the awarding by the National Football Association of FA Charter Standard Club status.
The award is only given to those clubs who satisfy strict criteria on coach education, codes of conduct and child protection.
Receiving the award from Tony Drinkell, FA Delegate for Lincolnshire, Vice Chairman of Louth United Brian Manson said: "This is a momentous day in the history of Louth United Football Club. This award will open the door to further development opportunities within both senior and junior football thereby increasing participation at grass roots level.
“It is particularly fitting to receive the award from Tony who is himself an ex-Louth United player."
The FA Charter Certificate was presented to Club Chairman Mick Graves by Cliff Dundridge, also an FA Delegate.
Chairman Mick Graves said: "It’s a great day all round. We now have the right people on the committee to carry the club forward. I am very proud of all we have achieved so far."
