Louth's Golf Club Captain Holds Captain Day

The Louth Golf Club Captain, Tim Elliott, recently held his Captain's Day.
The day started with competitions held for all sections of the club and was finished off with a BBQ in the evening.
150 Juniors to Seniors men played, the overall winner in the Men's for the Captain's Salver was Andy Brook with 42 pts.
The prize winners were as follows: Best Past Captain – Howard Greenwood 37 pts, Best Senior – David Lightfoot 40 pts, Best Junior – Chris Cooper 39pts, Men's division 1 – 1st A Lascelles 40 pts (8 back 3), J Mawer 40 pts (7 back 3), N Smith 40 pts (6 back 3); division 2 – 1st A Brook 42 pts, 2nd I Tyas 40 pts (25 back 9), J Mountain 40 pts (17 back 9); division 3 – 1st M Jenkins 39 pts (25 back 9), 2nd N Templeton 39 (19 back 9), 3rd J Martin 38 pts.
The Ladies had a 9 hole Texas Scramble in the afternoon. 10 teams of 3 played and the winners were Mary Haynes, Anne Brackenbury and Janet Moody with 27.4 nett, 2nd L West, F Smith & G Brook 29.0.
