Maria's on song for Noreen Ross trophy

A RECORD number of 61 Kenwick Park Golf Club ladies played in the stableford competition for the Noreen Ross Memorial Trophy.
Maria Brown (27) was both surprised and delighted to win the trophy with a great score of 38 points.

When Claire, Noreen’s daughter presented the prize to her, she recalled playing with her mother who she described as a ‘lovely lady’.

Margaret
Williams (28) came second in the bronze division with 37 points on a countback from Di Everitt (30).

Patsy Clark (18) won the silver division with 37 from Jo Dawson (15) in second spot with 36. Christine Rochford (16) took the third spot with 35.

Former lady captains of Kenwick Park played an individual stableford for the beautiful Past Captains’ Trophy, kindly donated by Jenny Cutts.

Jan Heath (27) scored an impressive 38 points to win the trophy.

Forty-eight members of the Seniors Section took part in the Harry Marsh Pairs.

This unusual stableford pairs competition sees players starting off both the 1st and 10th tees.

On completion, individuals are randomly paired with players starting the competition off the alternative tee.

Frank Brown (14) and Brian Handley (16) won with their aggregate score of 69 points.

Derek Smith (11) and Graham Cowley (17) came second with 68, just in front of Lee Fisher (32) and Robert Mowbray (35) in third with 67.

Frank Brown won the individual competition with 39 points.
