Needham coasts home at Sandilands

THIRTY members of Sandilands Golf Club played in a Medal Competition.
The winner with 68 was John Needham, Dave Hardy came second with 70 and Ian Crofts third with 71.

The seniors played an away match at North Shore GC and Sandilands won the match 5-2.

Winning pairings were Alan Nock and Derek Hewett, Peter Leak and Joe Kelly, Alan Dowley and Tony Lester, Dennis Cooper and Mike Yarnold.

Derek Hammond and Pete Yorston, and Dave Wright and Richard Parker halved their games.

Sandilands Seniors played a home match against South Kyme Seniors and Sandilands won the match 6½-1½. Winning pairings were Alan Nock and Mike Yarnold, Dave Smith and Joe Kelly, Tony Seward and Frank Evans, Derek Hammond and Tony Lester, Dave Wright and Richard Parker, and Alan Dowley and Bill Wilson.

Dennis Cooper and Chris Baker halved their games.
