LOUTH hockey team 1st's played hosts to Lincoln 2nds in the East Women's League NW Division 2 sponsored by NE14Hockey.
Louth were determined from the outset to find the back of the net after a disappointing 3-0 defeat versus Cambridge City 2nds the week before.

Play was from end to end but Louth had the edge when it came to finishing and were soon 1-0 up.

The Lincoln defence were hard pressed as Louth attacked, predominately down the right side. This enabled Louth to draw out the Lincoln defence and switch the ball back across the goal for the shots on target.

At half time the score was 3-0 to Louth. A couple of players made their debut from Louth 2nds to the 1st team and it was a useful experience as they performed equally as well as their fellow players on the pitch.

Despite Lincoln's defence playing very well Louth gained several penalty corners.

Louth got the result they wanted and are looking forward to playing newly promoted Gainsborough Roses 1sts at the weekend.

Team: Becky Ireland, Veronica Chamberlin, Lucy Robson, Kelly Tomlinson, Maggie Bilcliffe, Jess Keetley, Clare Chamberlin, Sarah Guantlett, Jess Freer, Claire Canning, Amie Wright.
