Lady Captain Linda Marwood invited the ladies of Kenwick to dress in pink and join her in a Texas scramble on her charity day held in aid of the Pink Rose Appeal.
Linda must have enjoyed the day very much with her team members Sue Sykes and Karen Archer as they won with a net 63.4.
Jan Heath, Jane Briggs and Ann Walker came second with 64.2 just nudging Sandra Crow, Carol Morrell and Denise Sherratt into third on a countback.
Before the prize presentation, two lady members who have recovered from breast cancer spoke of the importance of the Pink Rose Appeal to women in the area and Linda announced £271 had been raised on the day for the charity.
The Kenwick Park Golf Club men took on the challenge of the course from the white tees over 36 holes to decide their Club Champion whilst also competing for the Flockton trophy for the best net aggregate score.
At the end of the first round, the reigning champion Dave Beaumont with his score of 73 had a one shot lead from James Lee. Chris Davies (7) must have been very pleased with his round of 75, net 68 to lead the Flockton trophy.
Lewis Hackett also had a good round of 75 to be well placed with Simon Hartley recording a 76.
The afternoon round saw Dave Beaumont and George Chubb both scoring 76 with Simon Hartley and Henry Lee one shot behind with 77.
Dave Beaumont's great score of 149 , net 141 saw him crowned Club Champion and winner of the Flockton trophy for the third year running.
Simon Hartley with 153 came second in the championship on a countback from Lewis Hackett. Chris Davies (7) with 155, net 141 came second on a countback to Dave Beaumont in the Flockton trophy. Lewis Hackett (5) took the third spot with 153, net 143.
Dave said: "The support is really overwhelming and I feel so proud to be the champion of such a special place."
