CASTALINE'S lead at the top of the Pat Scott Memorial Trophy Summer Snooker League is two points after they beat Sibjon Builders 5-3.
The third placed visitors needed a win from this encounter if they were to have any hopes of mounting a title challenge and despite Shaun Mawer winning both his frames it was the leading hosts who took the honours through both Steve Taylor and Sam Mountain to virtually end their rivals interest in the race at the top.

Second placed M A Stephenson Autos keep hot on the heels of the leaders with a 6-2 away win over Louth Building Supplies.

Gary Skipworth and Joe Hunt both won in a match the visitors were always going to win but they might regret dropping those two frames.

Tudor Driving School came from behind to bat Manny Bernstein 5-3, Mark Bullivant put the away side in front, but back came the hosts through Jez Swaby and Phil Marshall to win a match that saw Luke Howard grab a noticeable frame.

Nick Bailey was the hero for Seymour and Castle as his lone two frame strike was enough to send Don Noble Bookmaker to a 5-3 defeat.
