ST MICHAEL'S School swam to victory and won the trophy in the Louth Area Gala held at Louth Swimming Pool.
The primary school competed against seven other Louth Schools and came away with 256 points in the first swim and 213 in the second making the school the overall winners.

They were awarded silver and gold medals along with a gold trophy.

“The kids were really excited and jumping up and down when we won,” said Babs Beyst teacher at the school and organiser of the team.

The school pay credit to the Louth Dolphins Swimming Club who some of the children swim for.

“They have a hand in helping the children swim faster,” said Babs.
