A cross country duo have raced their way through to the English Schools Cross Country Championships which takes place in March.

James Larder and Leah Epton, both 13, represented Monks’ Dyke Tennyson College and earned their places as they won their races at the district round of the championships which took place in Hubbards Hills in December.

The duo then placed fourth in the county championships at Caythorpe, near Grantham last weekend where the top eight finishers automatically qualify for the english schools championships.

Steve Wright, Head of PE at the school was ‘over the moon’ with his students and said he was ‘very proud’ of their recent performance.
