Clash at the top in Louth Indoor Bowls Triples league

THE clash of the top two teams in the Louth Indoor Bowls Triples league last week ended with a surprisingly comfortable win for Oaks who beat Two Plus One 21-10.

It put the two rivals level on points at that stage but Two Plus One recovered for their second match to beat Mix and Match 20-4 to regain a clear lead at the top as Oaks slumped to a 20-9 defeat against Bujiars who moved level on points with their opponents.

Bujiars had earlier come from 3-6 down to win 12-7 against Magnificent 7.

Also level on points with the second and third placed teams is Mudlarks who had a nailbiter against Numbskulls before nicking a12-9 victory.

Rolling Scones came off best in a rollercoaster game against Magnificent 7. Scones led 7-0 but then found themselves 7-8 behind before winning four successive ends for a 12-9 victory.

Fixtures for the coming winter leagues have been completed and team captains can arrange collection from the club on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays up to 2pm and Friday evenings between 7pm and 9pm.
