CRICKET: Successful year for Louth - now focus is on 2015 trophies

Louth Cricket Club held their end of season senior awards dinner at Louth Golf Club after, on the field, the club enjoyed one of its most successful seasons in recent times.

The 1st XI cemented their place in the Lincolnshire ECB Premier League, the 2nd XI were crowned champions of Lincolnshire County Cricket League Division 2, the 3rd XI were unbeaten in their friendly league, The Taverners finished runners up in the East Lindsey Cricket League, the Midweek XI won their second successive promotion in the Grimsby Cricket League and the Ladies XI were crowned champions of Lincolnshire.

Thoughts now turn to the 2015 season, with the added bonus that the 3rd XI will now have regular Saturday cricket having been elected into the Lincolnshire County Cricket League.

Senior nets start on Thursday, January 22, at Meridian Leisure Centre at 8pm, the club is looking for and will welcome new players of all abilities.

For the younger generation, junior training takes place on Saturday mornings at Meridian Leisure Centre, under 11s train 9am until 10am followed by under 13s and 15s at 10am until 11.30am.
