The less said about this game, the better from Mablethorpe’s point of view. They were 3-0 down at half-time and unable to recover despite a better second half.

Mablethorpe improved after the interval with Alex Carter seeing a shot blocked on the line and Jake Spybey having a goal disallowed for offside.

However, Tetney added a late fourth to add gloss to the final score.

Manager Mick Stubbs wasn’t pleased with the result or the performance.

“We were sloppy and made far too many mistakes in the first 20 minutes.

“We had played some good football for the last few weeks, but this time we were much worse for some reason.

“For the first 45 minutes nobody looked like they wanted the ball. The second half was better, but by then too much damage had already been done.

“Our man-of-the-match was Mathew Sirett; he kept going and looked sharp at right-back.”
