Louth Old Boys Under 13s Blacks, sponsored by Thurlby Motors, shaded a five-goal thriller as they took on newly-promoted Welton Bombers at London Road.

With Louth having three players missing because of holidays, the team had to adjust to a slightly different formation than usual.

Nonetheless, Old Boys took an early lead with a great individual goal from Fin Koslow.

The home side kept the pressure on and within a couple of minutes were 2-0 ahead when Jamie Grant netted his first goal for the team after a goalmouth scramble.

After good play from both teams, Welton pulled a goal back to halve the deficit.

The visitors then had a good 10-minute spell and netted again to go in level at 2-2 at half-time.

Old Boys began to dominate play and kept the pressure on with attack after attack.

Some superb pinpoint accurate corners from Tom Willson again caused the away team lots of problems.

This eventually led to the match-winning goal for Rob Marsh whose diving header found the bottom corner.

There was great work across the pitch by the Old Boys, and man-of-the-match was Fin Koslow.
