Louth Old Boys U15s welcomed their new kit sponsors, Jason and June Bates from Skillbase Ltd as they faced Spilsby U15s in the first round of the U15s cup.
Skillbase are a Derby based company that provide a skilled workforce to the construction industry. Manager Darren Ainscow also presented Jason with a framed replica shirt for his office wall.
Fortunately, with the new sponsors watching, the boys beat Spilsby U15s 3-1 at the London Road ground.
The U15s followed it up with a derby win over Louth Town in a league game at their Saltfleetby ground.
Old Boys made the perfect start when after five minutes they were one goal to the good.
But after 10 minutes of crazy defending, Old Boys found themselves 2-1 down and Town were looking to press on.
To their credit, Old Boys carried on with their slick passing game and kept the ball on the floor, and finished the half 5-2 to the good.
The second half promised lots more goals with Louth Town playing very direct, but with some stronger defending from the back four, Louth Old Boys ran out 6-3 winners.
Louth Old Boys sit top of the table having won three in three.
