Louth Old Boys U15s 6-3 Birchwood U15s

Louth Old Boys U15s entertained a strong looking Birchwood team in the Mid Lincs Youth A League on Sunday.

A wet and slippery pitch caused quite a few problems for the home team and before they could get their heads together, found themselves 2-0 down after only 10 minutes.

A quick reshuffle of the team later and they were soon back in the game. Some real determination saw the home side finish the first half strong and pulled the score back to 2-2.

Some strong advice from manager Darren Ainscow at half time clearly hit home as Old Boys looked a completely different outfit in the second half.

Slick short passing and possession football proved too strong for the visitors and the full time score was 6-3 for Old Boys.

Scorers for Louth were Joe White with two goals, Jan Meiwald with two and Jordan Potts and Jamie Riddel with one each.

Maximum points from the first four league games mean the team sit proudly at the top of the league and now go into a two week break looking very strong for the remainder of the season.
