Louth Old Boys Under 8s football team has a fresh look thanks to sponsorship from Louth plastics recycler and compounder Luxus.
Peter Atterby, Managing Director at Luxus, based at the Fairfield Industrial Estate, recently presented a cheque for £500 to the Louth Old Boys’ junior team so they could buy a brand new set of kit for this season.
The team plays at The Pavilion in London Road, Louth and is in the Gradely Sports Junior Football League.
The need for a sponsor was brought to Luxus’ attention by Aaron Crane a leading hand in the yard for the company and Luxus Manager, Nikki Wigham, who both actively support the team.
Mr Crane said: “We’re really pleased to receive this sponsorship, without the help of local businesses such as Luxus we wouldn’t be able to provide any kit at all.
“The new strip will be a great boost I’m sure to our young players.”
Peter Atterby, said: “Today’s youth is tomorrow’s future - we’re really pleased to sponsor a local junior team that provides the opportunity for any child that’s interested to play and stay fit too.”
Since supporting the team Aaron has begun training for ‘1st4Sports’ level 1 award in coaching football which he’ll complete in February this year.
