Lance James netted a hat-trick as Louth Old Boys earned a 7-1 victory over Mablethorpe Athletic.

The hosts led 5-0 at the interval following two headed goals from Sam McSpadden, a James tap in and further finishes from Jordan Whittleton and Chris Ella.

In the 56th minute, James netted his second, running onto Gary Nimmo’s through ball to blast into the roof of the net.

Mablethorpe pulled one back from the spot, Adam Brownson on target after Bobby McSpadden brought down Jack Knight.

James then saw his penalty saved by Jamie Pittam before he made amends to complete his hat-trick with a neat finish.

Louth Old Boys Reserves concluded a good weekend for the club with an 8-3 victory against Sutton.
