Louth Old Boys teams in cup draws

Saturday saw both Louth Old Boys senior teams in cup draws.

The senior 1st team took on North Thoresby which turned into a nine-goal thriller. Thoresby took an early 3-0 lead after being awarded three penalties.

The Old Boys side were then awarded a penalty which they stuck in the back of the net making it 3-1. The second half saw the old boys put away five goals as the Thoresby side faded. Whillerton (2), Warsap (2), Wittelton and a stunning left footed strike from Byrne.

The Old Boys Senior Reserves also in action defeated Sutton Rovers Veterans 4-1. Hitting the net were A Hardcastle and a hat trick from R Southwood.

On Sunday the Louth Old Boys U10 reds drew 3-3 with the visiting Clee Com Tigers. K Byrne (2) and W Pennel ensured a share of the points

The U13s side took on Gonerby in the Todd’s AC Cup. Three goals in the second half saw the Old Boys side through to the next round 3-0 winners. D Ainscow, D Revell and J Riddel scoring for the U13s team.
