LOUTH Town rounded off their pre-season campaign with a fine 2-1 win at Boston Town on Tuesday night.
Just four days before they kick off their league campaign at Albion Sports, the White Wolves made the short journey down the A16.
Louth opened the scoring through striker Andy Willoughby and late made it 2-0 through Matt Kennedy.
Boston pulled one back through player-manager Ian Dunn but Town boss Daryl Clare was delighted after his side held on for the win.
“We have been threatening to play like that for a few games, the team held their shape,” he said.
“Organisation and communication were first class and we cut out the mistakes whilst looking really dangerous on the break.
“It was a great all round team performance.”
Brackenborough Hotel man of the match was the scorer of Town’s opener, Andy Willoughby.
