LOUTH footballer Dayle Southwell netted his first ever league goal as Grimsby Town won 2-0 at Hereford in the Blue Square Premier on Saturday.

The 18-year-old former Monks’ Dyke pupil turned a defender and fired home to make it 1-0 to the Mariners just before the break.

It was Dayle’s first goal of the season in his first start and the youngster looked set for another start at Barrow on Tuesday night.
