Louth Six-a-Side League: Donner set the pace

Mark Donner AFC went top of the Louth Leader Six-a-Side Premier League as Manby FC failed to field a team.

Instead they played a friendly against Championship leaders Susies Stars which finished 1-1. Louth All Stars lost an enthralling game against reigning champions Old Boys 4-3 who went second, and Louth Legends were shocked by a unbeaten Marshall BMW who won 3-1.

Petr Cech Yourself won 4-0 against Team P&B who are searching for their first points of the campaign, and in the final Premier Division game of the night, LA Crusaders and Game of Throw Ins fought out an entertaining 2-2 draw as the latter picked up their first point and goals of the season.

* Championship leaders Susie’s Stars comfortably beat BF Pitches 3-0 to extend their 100 per cent start to the season.

Job Centre XI edged past a strong Louth OG’z side 1-0 to keep pace in second, and #DS9 outdid Golden Oldies 6-3 in a high-scoring match for their first win in almost two months. Pete Goy rolled back the years for ST against Real SoSoBad in a goalless match of few clear-cut chances.

In the final game, third-placed Dragon Men and Sub Standard played out a 1-1 draw.
