Old Boys were crowned Louth Leader Six-a-Side League Premier League champions after a superb season.

The side’s only dropped points have come from a walkover and a draw with Louth Legends, and they convincingly beat OPY 9-0 to ensure next week’s difficult final game against Manby FC will not alter the outcome.

Legends were shocked into life when BF Pitches took the lead only to come back and win 5-2, relegating Pitches in the process.

#DS9 put in a superb performance against Manby FC, but eventually fell to a second half goal in a 1-0 defeat.

They currently occupy the final relegation spot, but could still avoid the drop should they pick up a point or more against Pitches and Marshall BMW lose. Marshall lost again this week, 3-0, to Mark Donner AFC.

* The Louth Leader Championship saw incredible drama in the match between Louth All Stars and Job Centre XI.

Job Centre came from 3-2 down to lead 4-3 after a free kick and penalty, only to be pipped with almost the last kick of the game as All Stars claimed the point they needed to clinch the title.

The race for the runners-up spot became a three-way last day battle as Tetney Tigers, Is Your Motherwell and Job Centre XI all have a mathematical chance of grabbing promotion.

Tetney ended Dragon Men’s hopes with a convincing 3-0 win, while Real SoSoBad edged out Susie’s Stars 1-0. Ambulance All Stars also did themselves a favour by beating Motherwell 2-0 in an surprise result.
