The Louth Leader Six-a-Side Premier League saw Louth Legends seal a deserved runners-up spot with a comprehensive 7-1 victory over Marshall BMW.

Ellis Barker again picked up the man-of-the-match award and in turn earned himself the player of the season prize from Chris Ella, having missed only one match all season and played a pivotal role in his team’s season.

They finished just a point behind champions Old Boys who were on the end of a surprise 3-1 defeat to Manby FC.

Mark Donner continued their resurgence as they beat OPY 3-0 to finish only three points off top spot.

A point would have been enough to keep #DS9 up, but they lost 2-1 to already-relegated BF Pitches in a close game which saw both teams drop into the Championship.

* The Louth Leader Championship saw game one set up a tense finish for promotion as a walkover for Is Your Motherwell against Dragon Men meant Tetney Tigers had to avoid defeat to go up.

In a close, tense battle, Tetney held on for a 0-0 draw, after Real SoSoBad had a goal disallowed, to secure the runners-up spot.

Daniel Marsh gained his sixth man-of-the-match award which deservedly saw him named the player of the season.

Louth All Stars capped an excellent season with a 3-0 win over Ambulance All Stars as they bounced back to the Premier at the first attempt.

Susie’s Stars picked up a final week win, 2-1, over Job Centre XI, but still collected the wooden spoon, while Job Centre XI missed out on promotion by only three points in a season which they started superbly, but fell away late on.
