Louth Town edge out Sleaford for semi-final spot

Louth Town kept their silverware hopes alive as they moved into the semi-finals of the Supplementary Cup on Saturday.

Goals from Michael Brown and Gary Pawson gave them a slender 2-1 victory over Sleaford Sports Amateurs in the quarter-final tie at Saltfleetby. Liam Tunstall replied for the visitors.

The win set up an away semi-final date against Wyberton, who dispatched Ruston Sports 5-1 on Friday evening. The tie takes place on Saturday, April 1 (2.30pm kick-off).

Immingham Town host Lincoln Moorlands Railway in the other semi-final.

Louth Town play the penultimate match of their stuttering Lincolnshire League campaign on Saturday when they host bottom side Ruston Sports at Saltfleetby (ko 3pm).
