Louth Town eye return to winning ways

Louth Town.
Louth Town.

LOUTH Town will be keen to return to winning form when they host Teversal at Park Avenue on Saturday (3pm).

Their weekend clash at Appleby Frodingham was postponed due to a frozen pitch giving the side yet more games to cram in before the end of the season.

But it did give the team a weekend’s rest after the heavy festive schedule.

Paul Walden’s men are currently 14th in the Baris Northern Counties East League Division One and have games in hand on all but three of the other teams in the division.

The White Wolves saw their nine game unbeaten run ended with a 2-1 home defeat to Hemsworth Miners Welfare in their last outing.

They face Shirebrook Town at home on Tuesday, January 21 in the semi-final of the Wilkinson Sword Trophy. And a win could set up a mouthwatering final against local rivals Grimsby Borough.
