Mabo Reserves were crowned Mablethorpe Five-a-Side League champions after a dramatic final round of matches.

They started the night in third spot on goal difference from the top two and grabbed their two points without kicking a ball thanks to a walkover win against Musketeers.

A 4-4 draw between overnight leaders Purple Cobra Ducks and second-placed Norfolk Chance saw Mabo leapfrog the pair and take the title.

With the game locked at 2-2 after two Alex Carter goals, Jack Marshall and Nathan Underwood put Norfolk 4-2 up, only for Olly Hancock and Courtney Skelton to level.

Mabo celebrated with an 11-8 friendly win over the Ducks.

Gerry-Hat-tricks ended their season with a 5-1 win over Inter YN in a mid-table battle, and Shaun Henderson struck late to give the Candy Flossers a 2-1 win over Pure Banter.

Johnsonbenoncn finished in fifth place as Riley Hall’s double helped them beat SA Shooters 3-0.
