Candy Flosser lead the chasing pack in the Mablethorpe Six-a-Side League after an entertaining 5-3 win over Lallanas in Pyjamas.

Lallanas took a half-time lead thanks to superb goals from Corey Quinn and Jay Turner who struck from the halfway line.

Injured captain Gary Donoghue returned to the pitch for Candy Flosser to spark a second half revival, capped by two goals from Shaun Henderson.

SA Shooters grabbed their first win of the season as fellow strugglers Kolo Puree were dispatched 5-2.

Ben Jenkins’ screamer gave the Shooters an early lead and Dave Matthews also claimed a double as they jumped up to sixth place despite a late rally from Kolo.

Gerry Hat-trick slipped to third-bottom after falling to a 5-1 defeat to fifth-placed Susie’s Stars.

Hat-trick went ahead in the match, but a man-of-the-match performance from Scott Allen saw the Stars to their second win in three.

League leaders Mabo Reserves were in the mood for goals as they played two friendlies.

The defending champions swept aside Gerry Hat-tricks 12-2 thanks to a hatful from Jamie Parnell before putting nine past second-placed Johnsonbenoncn without reply.
