Sandilands Golf Club winners
ON Friday April 13 Sanilands Golf Club member Matty Neal played in the Lincolnshire Alliance Individual Championship at Sleaford Golf Club.
Fifty nine players played and Matty came first in the gross competition with 75. Matty was awarded a trophy, which when engraved, will be displayed in the trophy cabinet at the club. Well done.
On Wednesday April 11 the seniors played their first away match of the season at North Shore.
They had a lovely day apart from the result! They lost the match 6-2. Winning pairings were John Summerfield and Alan Corah and Bill Webb and Peter Naylor.
On Thursday April 12 members played in a monthly medal competition. Winner with 70 was Adam James. Andy Wood came second with 76. Tom Ross was the only player to achieve a two which he did on the 2nd hole.
On Saturday April 14 Anthony Brass and Paul Weston represented the Club in Round 2 of the Daily Mail Foursomes Competition. They played at Sandilands against two players from Northshore Golf Club. Anthony and Paul won the match 2 and 1 and go through to the third round draw.
On Sunday April 15 Sandilands A team played a home match against Northshore A team.
Sandilands won the match 4-2. Winning pairings were Jonathan Graves and Craig Chilton, Mark Storr and Richard Walker and Tony Attwood and Charlie Kemp. James Doughty and Mick Neal and George Ward and Tom Ross both halved their matches.
