LOUTH-based team, HM Plant Honda, celebrated a double podium at Mallory Park when Leon Haslam finished second and Cal Crutchlow third, in the first leg of the Bennetts British Superbike championship on Sunday.
Series leader Shakey Byrne took the win and was second to Michael Rutter in the second race, with Crutchlow again stepping on to the podium for third place, as this time Haslam was sixth.

Byrne extended his series lead to 97 points over Crutchlow, who moves back ahead of Leon Camier after his two podium finishes at Mallory and at the halfway stage of the 12-round competition.

The next round is at Oulton Park, Cheshire on July 18, 19 and 20.
