SUNDAY saw a full grid of 32 cars at the ever-popular Brands Hatch indy circuit for the Mk II Golf GTI Championship.
A dry sunny morning with some very fast times in qualifying left 20-year-old James Bark from Huttoft in pole position for both the two races to follow in the afternoon.
James won both races with lights-to-flag victories.
In the first race he won with a 1.990 second lead and the second race he won with an 8.591 second lead in a faultless day’s racing.
This followed on from a previous meeting at Donnington Park on April 3, in which James achieved another lights-to-flag victory from pole position with an impressive eight second lead by the finish.
This brilliant start to the new season was only possible with the work of Ian Hart of Huttoft Service Station who spends many hours preparing the race car to the highest standard, race after race.
The next meeting is at Cadwell Park on May 22 with another massive entry for three races.
